Although we lack certain trade and organic certifications, it’s because these certifications are too costly for local producers. We prioritize supporting them without imposing financial burdens.
For centuries, the world believed cacao originated in Central America. But an archaeological discovery deep in the Ecuadorian Amazon changed history forever. In Palanda, researchers unearthed the true birthplace of cacao domestication, dating back over 5,300 years to the ancient Mayo-Chinchipe civilization. At Group MotMot S.A., we are the modern guardians of this legacy—transforming the world’s oldest cacao heritage into exceptional, high-value products for the global market.
